Job skills or business skills is the big question facing students

A workshop on the skill-sets and keys to success in conventional jobs versus entrepreneurship was organised by the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI).

Held at the business association's premises in Bait Al Tijjar in Sanabis, the workshop was delivered by Hala Sulaiman, a leading Bahrain-based businesswoman.

The workshop addressed school students and shed light on fundamental topics including stages of starting a business, competencies of successful entrepreneurs, and business sustainability.

The chamber said the event was in line with its efforts to promote a culture of entrepreneurship in the country.

BCCI’s second vice-chairman Mohammed Al Kooheji reinstated the chamber’s keenness in empowering the youth and encouraging them to venture into the market.

"Bahraini youth are set to play an important role in invigorating the private sector and shaping the economy of the country," he said.

The workshop was part of a series organised by the Studies and Initiatives Centre of the BCCI.
