Bahrain’s beautiful flamingos

Flamingos and other migratory birds are a frequent sight in Bahrain.

During the migration season, Bahrain is home to both the greater flamingos, which are pink, and lesser flamingos, which are a shade dimmer.

These beautiful creatures are often sighted in Tubli Bay, Arad Bay and on the Sitra coast.

The magnificent birds, seen in this picture, can also be found in the Zallaq Springs development in the Southern Governorate, along with ducks and swans.

The birds are locally bred, nurtured, and preserved by Al Areen Wildlife Park and Reserve.

The project also features a botanical garden, water springs, 3,342 aquatic plants, 3,699 shrubs and 110 trees of a diverse variety.
