Turkey is an ideal location to travel from Bahrain.
It's beautiful, located between Europe and Asia and influenced with culture, architecture and people from both the continents.
Since reading the book The Architect’s Apprentice by Elif Shafak, I was so curious about the Ottaman Empire and Turkey’s Greek, Persian & Roman connections. My favourite place in Istanbul was the Hagia Sophia Mosque, as beautiful it is architecturally, so was it spiritually.
There are many other places in Istanbul to be explored and lots of tasty food to be tried and tasted but the view of the city from the sea and the cruise experience was amazing.
