This is Kodaikanal, a peaceful hill station in the southern state of Tamil Nadu in India. It is situated at 2,000 mt above sea level and has a pleasant weather. I visited with my family in the month of December. We stayed in Kodai Resort Hotel which is just 2 minutes walk from Coakers Walk. Coakers Walk has beautiful views of the valley with mountains covered in fog in the mornings and evenings (pictured above). Its name in the Tamil language means "The Gift of the Forest". Kodaikanal is referred to as the "Princess of Hill stations" and has a long history as a retreat and popular tourist destination.
