The Autumn Fair

As a person who hates crowded and confined spaces, I've always tried to avoid indoor fairs, festivals and competitions. However, the annual Autumn Fair is always an exception that I look forward to attending every year.

I enjoy walking through the rows and rows of spices and just taking in all the beautiful colours and powerful smells of the differnt herbs and spices from different parts of the world.

With hundreds of stalls set up from 16 countries, my favourite stalls have always been those with the mountains of spices such as tumeric, cumin, cinnamon and other fragrant spices along with bags of nuts such as walnets, peanuts, and pistachios piled up in woven bags.

I make sure I go to the Autumn Fair at least once every time it opens annually and I usually walk out with a bag of spices for my mother to create her amazing beautiful dishes.
