According to the latest update on the Health Ministry’s webpage (9 March, 12pm) dedicated to Covid-19, there are 95 active cases of coronavirus in Bahrain.
It said 7,784 people had been tested of whom 7,689 tested negative. Of the 95 cases, 94 were stable and one was critical.
The Health Ministry said in a tweet that the recently announced active cases relate to inbound travellers who were quarantined as a precaution before testing positive for Covid-19. The individuals were quarantined upon arrival to Bahrain.
The ministry further added, "Only one case from these cases relates to an individual who was in contact with a returning traveller. Contact tracing has taken place in line with the Kingdom’s procedures."
