Happy Vishu
Wishing all my malayali friends a very happy Vishu
Vishu is considered the beginning of New Year in Kerala and the Vishu Kani is the most important part of it ... every member of the family small and big, young and old first opens their eyes to see the vishu kani..
Vishu kani is a decoration with vishu flowers (called konna ), mirror, coins, gold, books, fruits, coconuts, vegetables, rice and pulses all arranged around the picture/idol of Lord Krishna.. and lit with lamps.. the arrangements are done the before night and its the 1st sight every member wakes up seeing on Vishu.
Its considered that seeing a sight of vishu kani the 1st thing on Vishu.. is symbolic of abundant wealth and prosperity with the Lords blessing would bring luck n prosperity across the year around.
So this Vishu ... during the lockdown and Isolation ... let us all be Blessed with abundance and prosperity to come ... let this lockdown end bringing into our lives a new beginning of good health and prosperity
