Tribute to healthcare workers

The Crown Prince has paid tribute to the tireless efforts of Bahrain’s health professionals, praising their unwavering devotion to the continued health and safety of the wider community, the GDN reported today.

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, made the remarks when he visited the temporary Intensive Care Unit at the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) Hospital, the Ebrahim Khalil Kanoo Medical Centre used for isolation and treatment in Salmaniya area, and the Public Health Laboratory within the Health Ministry, to review the kingdom’s efforts to tackle Covid-19.

The Crown Prince highlighted that under the leadership of the King, and through his far-reaching vision, Bahrain has accomplished successes across all sectors.

He commended the strong commitment to social distancing guidelines demonstrated by the kingdom’s citizens, stressing that Bahrain’s diverse population holds the key to curbing the spread of Covid-19.

Bahrain’s proactive and internationally recognised response to Covid-19 has been bolstered by recent increases in available medical facilities and equipment, he said, adding that they have greatly enhanced the country’s ability to contain and treat the virus.

The Crown Prince reiterated the kingdom’s commitment to safeguard the health and safety of all by providing treatment and healthcare to citizens and residents, free of charge, pointing out that comprehensive access to testing and healthcare have greatly contributed to the kingdom’s high recovery rates. A number of senior officials accompanied the Crown Prince during the visit.
