COVID-19: Richard Quest announces positive result on live TV & Twitter

Richard Quest, CNN International anchor, business editor at large and host of Quest Means Business, announced yesterday on Twitter and during his show that he has tested positive for coronavirus (Covid-19) but doesn't have any severe symptoms yet and as such, will continue to work/anchor from home unless his health worsens.

"I have caught coronavirus. I am blessed in that I have few symptoms - just a cough. I am saving my prayers and thoughts for those less fortunate. Stay in. And protect lives." tweeted Quest, who was in Bahrain in February to lead a panel discussion on the building of resilient, sustainable and future-proofed Gulf economies during the opening of Gateway Gulf 2020.

Last month, CNN anchor Chris Cuomo, who, like Quest, lives in New York, tested positive for the virus.

The state of New York has the highest number of confirmed cases in the United States with 242,786 cases so far and 13,869 deaths. The virus has infected 799,456 people so far in the US and has killed 42,604 people.
