The Rotary Club of Salmaniya teamed up with the Telugu Kala Samithi Bahrain Society to distribute food packages to labourers in Hidd, Muharaq, Isa Town, Hamad Town and Jidhafs.
Many of them have not received their salaries due to the current COVID 19 situation. The Telugu Kala Samithi Bahrain society provided the basic food items such as rice and wheat flour and Rotary Club of Salmaniya provided the hand sanitizers, disinfectants and washable face masks.
Around 300 food packages were distributed over a span of three weeks. Over the course of the project, TKS was able to attract more donors such as Malabar Gold and the Indain Embassy.
