Pelé arrived in Sweden to play in the world cup tournament in 1958.
He was sidelined by a knee injury and only made his debut on the 15th of June against the USSR in the third match of the first round where he gave the assist to Vavá's second goal in a 2-0 victory.
He was the youngest player of that tournament and at the time the youngest ever to play in the World Cup at the age of 17.
