COVIDGCC.COM - Building a Safer Community for the GCC
Updated daily, the new COVIDGCC website provides detailed information & forecasts about the number of confirmed, active, and recovered cases of COVID-19 in each GCC country using Data Science.
The world is being impacted by COVID-19 and is trying to navigate through a vast ocean of information to help understand the current pandemic. Bahraini McGill student Nooh (Noah) Mukhtar was able to use his expertise on data visualization to develop a new analytics dashboard called "COVIDGCC".
Fighting a Pandemic with Data
The website leverages data from The World Health Organization to provide a credible dashboard depicting the situation in the GCC.
"The reason why communities like South Korea & Singapore were able to contain the pandemic in a timely manner was because of how they used data, the most important asset of the 21st century."
The majority of COVID-19 cases are reported on such a global scale, it's easy for them to overlook one of the world's most interconnected communities - the Gulf region.
A Solution Tailored for the Gulf
The Gulf region has a strong community with many working or living abroad, and many citizens have an interest in delving deeper into the situation in their local community.
With COVICDGCC, the data is shared into one centralized dashboard while comparing the situation in each GCC country, and how well it has performed relative to the rest of the world as a result of the joint government's excellent & coordinated response in controlling the pandemic.
"COVIDGCC is completely free of charge and now available to all on desktop & mobile"
