
Bahrain yesterday recorded 540 new cases of Covid-19, alongside 599 recoveries and one more fatality, reports GDNonline.
An 80-year-old female citizen died from the coronavirus yesterday, which takes the death toll to 47, including 24 citizens and 23 expats.
The Health Ministry revealed that of yesterday’s 540 new cases, 349 were expatriate workers, 187 contacts of local cases, and four were travel-related.
It said that an additional 599 people recovered from Covid-19 yesterday, taking the total number of recoveries to 13,866.
The ministry added that of the 5,640 active cases, 133 are receiving treatment and 27 are in critical condition. Bahrain has so far registered 19,553 cases including active cases, recoveries and deaths.
The kingdom has also conducted 438,080 tests for Covid-19.
