
Another five Covid-19 fatalities were registered in Bahrain yesterday, alongwith 656 new cases and 617 recoveries.
Four Bahrainis and an expat man, 60, died from the coronavirus yesterday, taking the death toll in the country to 92.
Among the Bahrainis who died were three men, aged 62, 67 and 88, and an 88-year-old woman.
The Health Ministry revealed that of yesterday’s 656 new cases, 435 were expatriate workers, 218 contacts of local cases, and three travel-related.
It said that an additional 617 people recovered from Covid-19 yesterday, taking the total number of recoveries to 21,948.
The ministry added that of the total 5,374 active cases, 84 are receiving treatment and 52 are in critical condition.
Bahrain has so far registered a total of 27,414 cases including active cases, recoveries and deaths.
The kingdom has also conducted 564,365 tests for Covid-19.
