Waste has value

Exactly 1 year ago in 2019 on 24th July eBin Company started with a campaign to encourage people to use their service for collection of recyclable material. Many people were and are still not aware that the various kind of waste has still some more or less value for recycling, but for sure avoiding for landfill is a big value for the environment. Anything reused, reduced, upcycled or recycled, anything not thrown in the general waste is big added value to the environment and helps to reduce the daily pollution of the nature by humans and their trash.

Not an easy task to create a business from scrap plus encouraging people from all kind of sectors to prevent valuable waste to be thrown in the general waste and herewith it will end up in the already filled Askar landfill. It is still a very long way to go till people will understand the endless different kind of waste and to let them start whatever is possible to segregate for keeping that value high rather than mixing it in 1 bin and have a drastic decrease in value plus it will be almost impossible to segregate after and to recycle it. So it will just pollute the environment, which could be avoided.

On a weekly basis eBin Company collected Saturday after Saturday many loads of trash, of recyclables mixed with non recyclables. Unfortunately lot of the waste was or is not possible to recycle. Many customers like to support the recycling initiative, but are not really aware of what kind of material can be recycled and how to properly segregate it. It is not mandatory the plastic only rather than the aluminum cans, scrap metal, e-waste and many other valuable material, which can be recycled and has higher value then the lightweight plastic. Of course only if properly segregated.

So if people are really keen to be part of this initiative and help our all environment to be more preserved from unnecessary waste, they need more knowledge and awareness to change their daily routine of waste production to "refusing, reducing, reusing, segregation and recycling", means buying less packed items, using less plastic bags, checking what kind of packing material the product is packed in as well as doing proper shopping planning and finally know your waste and the material.

Environmental awareness is the key to sustainable lifestyles and business operations. During recent months, the world has learned and seen that the environment plays an important role and needs special care. The 'old normal' caused havoc to nature and humanity. Knowledge of how to protect our world and prevent pollution is therefore a key aspect for every human being, as we build the 'new normal' in our various societies and communities, both in business and private life.

During this pandemic, even protecting our lives caused increased threat to the environment and added cost to businesses, by the special equipment required for protecting ourselves. The only viable solution is to build our collective knowledge of waste management, or better material resource management, which can save money for business owners and companies, as well as private households. This helps to protect our environment.

A lot of various kind of waste can still be reused or properly recycled or avoided from landfill, hence a reason why the three parties eBin Company, Oasis Training Center and Kai Miethig joint forces to make a difference by enhancing knowledge of people on waste and recycling as well as how to change personal and professional lifestyle in order to become a more environmental conscious human being.

Kai Miethig, an architect and environmental activist, has developed an environmental awareness training program which will be offered through Oasis Training Center, in cooperation with the eBin Company. This course will enhance your capacity to become more sustainable and environmentally-aware. It will help everyone to better understand the variety of waste that we are producing on a daily basis, how to prevent and how deal with it.

The course will explore how you can easily change habits in the various segments of life to become more sustainable and a more environmentally concerned person, as well as cutting costs in the long run. Another aspect of the program is how you can become an eco-ambassador and make others understand the importance of sustainable lifestyles.

Upon completion of the course, individuals can take action immediately, meaning proper segregation of recyclables with collection by eBin Company on a monthly basis for 1 year, allowing your actions to become part of your daily life.

Join now the #recycle it right campaign and #rinse it–recycle it in order to help our Mother Earth and our all environment.
