Short Story Entry- Covid-19 is bringing back forgotten friends together!

"I don’t know if I am correct in saying all this now. But I never bothered to be correct. I always followed what my heart says. Maybe that did hurt you more when we were together. But I will do it again. I will write and say what I truly want to. Yesterday I could not reply to you message in detail. Hopefully today I can express all things well which I wanted to really write back to your message. You asked me how I am doing amid the corona pandemic. And I absolutely know in my heart that it’s not just a simple ‘how are you’. It’s friendship. Even if you deny, it’s still there. That’s what we should learn and accept. Some relations never fade away. We get along with new people. Fine. No issues about it. But why do we want to bury something that’s eternal and immortal. If fear of death can remind us of each other, why can’t we then live some 'real' and 'now' moments together? Can a mistake be bigger than that magic which brought us together? I may be wrong now again to read your message in more details and see more feelings and more meanings behind it. It can truly be as simple as normal worry for any one around in this pandemic. But I would love to believe that some friendships are unique and we just don’t want to murder them. I have been sorry for what I did to you. I hope you can trust now and reciprocate. This reply to your message is not to urge you to come back in my life. This is to convey that your place in my life is still empty, no matter if you wish to come back or not. Normal routine is on for you and me. It will continue. Just that it would have been more beautiful together."

This was the reply that did melt hearts which were determined to be stubborn over an disagreement. The two friends did try to forgive each other for instance of humiliation. The pandemic is not only letting nature reclaim its space, it is not only telling mankind to pause and live. Its actually serving bridge between people who departed over matters which will not matter after death. The pandemic has instilled once again a fear that world is full of uncertainty and there is hardly anything to hang on except true friendships. Covid-19 will fade away with the time but the humanity will rise above once again, forever.
