ANXIETY!!!
Anxiety happens naturally, but some people experience it more than others. It may seem very normal in the beginning but there is a fine line where it can over power you.
As a yoga teacher, I have seen lot of cases of building anxiety across all age groups. The lack of knowledge that it can be cured without medical pills is something that a lot of people are unaware of.
In the video below, I speak about the same techniques.
Uncertainty, curiosity, running the rat race of career, unfulfilled relationships and pressures of society can make you feel anxious. You may then see it frequently spreading to other areas of your life and then turning into an acute disease.
If you realise it in early stages you may control your mind using some of the really simple yoga techniques. But this requires a level of self – awareness to observe the trigger point which alternatively can be found with the help of an expert (coaches, gurus, doctors etc).
This itself, will give you a good insight into how it begins and what you can do to avoid anxiety.
These are some of the yoga techniques that you can use to deal with anxiety on a daily basis.
1. Equal breathing technique:
Find a comfortable seating position and close your eyes.
Count slowly 1, 2, 3 while inhaling then count 3, 2, 1 while exhaling.
Do this for 5 minutes by focussing on the count.
2. Exhaling all your tensions:
Inhale deeply through your nose and exit through your mouth and feel your chest becoming lighter and lighter. Continue for 5 minutes.
3. Om chanting:
Chant Om as long and deep as possible for 5 mins.
4. Alternative nostril breathing (Anulom Vilom):
Breathing through right nostril exiting from your left nostril.
Inhale from your left nostril exit from your right and keep repeating for 5 minutes.
