The key here is for you to unlock and use it anytime you want to change your emotion
Once you have a realization that you’re mental state is not what desired try is to focus and change your breath.
If you are angry and you want to calm down try to focus on your breath and try to make it really smooth and slow. This will automatically signal to your mind that you want to relax and eventually calm down your mental state.
In a similar way if you are upset and your breathing is slow and you wish to energize yourself start breathing in deeply as though you are enthusiastic and happy. Breathe in deep and fast this will send a signal to your mind that you are refreshed and energetic.
