A creative journey of my workshop entitled " ART & CRAFTS WORKSHOP-2020, Bahrain" - an awareness program on ART, EDUCATION AND ENVIRONMENT.
It continued from 5th of July to 2nd of August, 2020.
"Beautiful Memories are the most exclusive pictures, which we can paint and nothing can ever destroy them "
My simple idea was transformed into a happening event creating beautiful memories, with the creative touch of Art admirers from different countries to support a single cause to break the monotony of our pandemic- driven days spreading the warmth of colours through wonderful creations and smiles with hues of happiness!
Since the onset of this pandemic, which created an impact in everyone's life in uneven ways, with some common effects as frustrations, worries about uncertainties, depression & disgrace. So to eliminate these things from our life, specially the children's who are homelocked instead of enjoying vacation, I thought to enlighten their days with a bit of joy, creativity and positivity for a change, to divert the minds from common worries of these pandemic driven days.
So the plan of organising workshop for free for all ages and abilities, came up, where, maximum people may participate to benefit themselves being engaged in creative work.
In this Workshop, Artists from Bahrain & India joined. Participants of different ages, from different countries joined which includes Bahrain, India, Saudi Arabia, Quwait & Phillipines respectively. There were 7 artists and more than 100 participants who joined to enjoy the series of virtual classes. It was open to all ages and abilities. Participants were divided in different groups according to ages.
The series of sessions in zoom were only possible for my loving sister, Sonalika Bhattacharya, who is the only responsible person behind all the technical things starting from creating zoom profile to all the respective links for each of the sessions held.
Extending my heartfelt gratitude and thanks to all the artists who joined this workshop. Artists who joined are Madhvi Dhanak, from Bahrain, Jacob Jhonson, Dr. Debajyoti, Sanghamitra, Kanika, Fiona, Jyoti & Moumita from India, respectively.
The virtual series of sessions continued for a month which included different forms of ART & CRAFTS along with some awareness sessions all about ART, Education & Environment. The different forms of art included Arylic in canvas, Oil pastels, Water colour, Doodling, pencil sketch, pencil colors, painting without using brush, finger painting, thumb painting, fork painting etc. In Craft works, we learnt paper bag making to replace usage of plastic bags, book mark making, Envelope & Gift wrapping, Recycled craft making, paper crafts etc.
And we had Environmental Awareness sessions, which included discussion on
1) Importance of recycling, reusing things to ensure minimizing domestic waste/ plastic waste.
2) The roles and responsibilities of every human being sharing the resources of the planet equally.
I want to convey my heartiest wishes to all who joined me, supported me, encouraged me during this journey of enlightening souls, spreading positivity!
Cheers to all the creators!
