Who says Gotham has to be New York City.
A man in Santiago, Chile, is dressing up as Batman and providing food to homeless people, Reuters reported.
The man who, like the “real” Batman didn’t identify himself, delivers dozens of plates of hot food to those in need throughout the Chilean capital, according to Reuters. And he does it all while wearing a mask to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
“Look around you, see if you can dedicate a little time, a little food, a little shelter, a word sometimes of encouragement to those who need it,” the man known as “Batman solidario” told Reuters.
Chile’s economy has been hit hard by coronavirus closures, with unemployment numbers reaching 12%, nearly as bad as the United States in April.
