Mai Dubai pads up for biggest T20 cricket

The 13th edition of the world’s most coveted T20 League is set to kick off on September 19 in the UAE with refreshing news.

Mai Dubai, the bottled water company fully owned by the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), announced that it has partnered with five of the leading teams of the T20 League.

It will be taking care of the hydration requirements of the defending champions Mumbai Indians, a team led by the supremely gifted Rohit Sharma; the Chennai Super kings - the runners-up from last season and three-time champions, who will have the legendary MS Dhoni calling the shots; the Sunrisers Hyderabad who lifted the trophy in 2016, marshaled by the swashbuckling David Warner; the Kolkata Knight Riders, the two-time champions spearheaded by the dashing wicketkeeper Dinesh Karthik; and finally the Royal Challengers Bangalore featuring a star studded batting line, led by the record breaking Indian Captain.

Alexander van ‘t Riet, CEO of Mai Dubai, said: “We are extremely pleased to officially partner with five leading cricket teams – each individually strong brands that are now competing in their 13th season. Our approach seeking out sustainable excellence is the primary factor that we have in common with all our partners.

"We have established a strong brand footprint across the UAE - and the region alike - within a short period of time, thanks to our comprehensive strategy, providing high quality bottled-drinking water, according to the highest international standards.

"We are always keen to support sporting events as hydration and fitness/physical activities go hand in hand. We wish all participants an excellent competition and a great time in the UAE”

Speaking of the partnership, Mumbai Indians Spokesperson said, “We are delighted to have Mai Dubai as our water partner. With the event shifting to the UAE, it is wonderful to have established the support of a prestigious local brand. Through this partnership, we look forward to connect with the consumers of Mai Dubai and cricket fans here in the UAE.”
