EGO vs. ECO Why most food bloggers promote destruction of the environment...

Nowadays it seems that almost everyone must become a food blogger and feels to showcase how delicious and yummy the variety of food and drinks we consume daily are. It is the latest trend. It does not matter if you have an idea about food and drinks or not, if you are a food expert or not, just take a picture or a short clip and posting it to strengthen your EGO by gaining some likes, views and followers.

Most don’t even know the ingredients of the food or drinks they promote or the impact on the health and especially on our all environment that those promotions are causing. EGO comes first, knowledge last.

One thing is for sure: Taking fancy pictures, showing the nice looking foods and drinks is supporting the destruction of environment as most of the food and drinks are shown in SINGLE-USE PLASTIC containers, on SINGLE-USE PLASTIC plates with SINGLE-USE PLASTIC cutleries, drinks in SINGLE-USE PLASTIC cups with SINGLE-USE PLASTIC covers or lids and SINGLE-USE PLASTIC straws. All will end up polluting our all environment as it will be dumped to the landfill or just somewhere in the nature as we can see everywhere polluted beaches and the sea.

Bahrain means two seas, not two polluted seas.

Most bloggers like to become brand ambassadors and gain fancy popularity for their EGO, not caring about the negative influence and impact they have on the people just following their advice and advertising “Use more SINGLE-USE PLASTIC, destroy our all environment more”. For most of the food bloggers business comes first, not considering at all the environment and their negative impact on the nature, which is actually mandatory to produce all that kind of nice food and drinks.

Without environment there will be no food and drinks.

How smart is that? Destroying and polluting your own resources, indeed very smart. Their EGO comes far before ECO.

Claiming to promote local business is one side, but that does not mean you should promote pollution and destruction of our all environment. The bloggers have as well responsibility towards the society, not only their EGO.

They should use their influence to promote sustainable local business rather than running behind companies for their own personal benefit. EGO of course comes first.

Most of them missed the chance to promote healthy, conscious and environmental friendly living. Promoting for becoming more conscious and mindful humans is what influencers should do, rather than money and fame oriented environmental destroyers.

With each post and clip these bloggers are promoting the use of SINGLE-USE PLASTIC, encouraging their followers and viewers to buy more SINGLE-USE PLASTIC and destroy our all environment more. Bravo. Business first, Environment last. EGO vs. ECO.

In times of a pandemic, where nature shows us the power, where conscious and mindful living, healthy body and mind have the highest priority, promoting of SINGLE-USE PLASTIC is completely the opposite of safe and healthy food, of safe and healthy lifestyle.

There are now more and more companies these days claiming delivering healthy foods, nutritious food, and diet food on a recurring, daily, weekly or monthly basis. All come in SINGLE-USE PLASTIC containers most likely with additional SINGLE-USE PLASTIC cutlery, which possible contaminating the food by leaching plastic to the so called healthy food plans. Who the hell does not have stainless steel cutlery at home or in office?

Most likely none of the food bloggers or healthy food providers did proper research on what negative impact is caused by the packing. Money and EGO counts again first.

Another big chance missed as these companies have recurring customers, so it would be very easy to implement a circular system rather than keeping the linear environmental destructive system. Convenience and carelessness is the enemy of sustainability, health and environment.

The average person now ingests five grams of plastic each week, the equivalent of a credit card, a new report by WWF has found. Researchers found that people are consuming up to 102,000 tiny pieces of plastic of less than 1mm - 250 grams each year.

Bon appetite to all food bloggers and so called healthy food providers.

Better to do some research first prior misguiding your followers and destroying your and our all nature and environment.
