
Bahrain yesterday registered 841 new cases of Covid-19, alongside 613 recoveries and three fatalities.
This is the highest daily tally recorded by Bahrain since the start of the outbreak.
Three expat men, aged 42, 44 and 66, died from the coronavirus yesterday, taking the death toll to 216.
The ministry revealed that of yesterday’s 841 new cases, 716 were contacts of local cases, 124 expatriate workers, and one travel-related.
It said an additional 613 people recovered from Covid-19 yesterday, taking the total number of recoveries to 55,444.
The ministry added that of the 6,824 active cases, 136 were receiving treatment and 34 in critical condition.
Bahrain has so far registered a total of 62,484 cases including active cases, recoveries and deaths.
The kingdom has also conducted 1,288,374 tests for Covid-19.
