The 2nd Africa Avenue edition will be held at Ripe Market this month after a hugely successful 1st edition at MOTB back in January, 2020.
As well as the appeal of shopping authentic, vibrantly coloured and crafted items, there will be many other features including African drummers, musicians and singers, catwalks showcasing the cream of African design, hair stylists, storytelling for children, finger food tasting, a DJ and so much more. There is the shopping of course, but also cultural and educational experiences and plenty of business opportunities.
Africa Avenue, exuding the life force, colours and sheer joy of living from diverse parts of Africa, is a Concept Store curated by Anissa Boulahya, founder of Ashante Design, Thiami, founder of LuxEthnik and Eliane, founder of Just Savanna, bringing together the African community in the UAE. UAE based designers are featured along with designers from the African continent. It encourages creatives, designers and entrepreneurs to gather and highlight a modern image of Africa built around its communities in the UAE.
