Bahrain yesterday recorded 1,662 new cases of Covid-19 and 1,005 recoveries.
Six people died yesterday, taking the death toll to 691.
It included five Bahrainis – three men, 67, 73 and 70, and two women, 64 and 59 – as well as an expat man, 57.
Of the new cases, 609 were expat workers, 1,023 contacts of local cases and 30 travel-related.
Of the 13,990 active cases, 244 are receiving treatment and 144 in critical condition.
Bahrain has so far registered a total of 191,018 cases.
The kingdom has conducted 4,256,020 virus tests.
