VIDEO: Grosjean to miss final race of the season in Abu Dhabi

Haas driver Romain Grosjean who suffered burns to his hands and feet in a crash on the opening lap of last week's grand prix in Bahrain will miss the final race of the season in Abu Dhabi.

He told fans on social media that he had taken the decision for health reasons after expert advice from medics.

His future in F1 is uncertain but he remains resolute that he will be back racing - and winning - in the future.

Grosjean's car hit the barrier at the exit of Turn 3 at 220 kmph and he managed to scramble out of the burning wreckage with the help of marshals.

He is due to leave Haas at the end of this season after his contract with the team was not renewed.

However, Mercedes team principal Toto Wolff has offered to set up a private test using the German team's award-winning car, so that his final F1 experience would not be the one during which he crashed.
