Coronavirus (Covid-19) claimed 17 lives in Bahrain yesterday, the highest daily toll ever.
The country also recorded 1,369 new cases alongside 1,279 recoveries.
Among the dead were seven expat men, aged 89, 52, 49, 52, 35, 33 and 50.
Six Bahrain women, 51, 68 76, 86, 79 and 63 died, taking the death toll to 732.
The fatalities also included four Bahraini men, 68, 66, 70, and 52.
Of the new cases, 442 were expat workers, 911 contacts of local cases and 16 travel-related.
An additional 1,279 people recovered, taking the total recoveries to 181,237.
Of the 15,505 active cases, 101 are receiving treatment and 163 in critical condition.
Bahrain has so far registered a total of 197,474 cases.
The kingdom has conducted 4,322,199 virus tests.
