Bahrain yesterday recorded 1,619 new cases of Covid-19 alongside 1,298 recoveries and five fatalities.
Four Bahrainis, two men, 53 and 79, and two women, 67 and 55, as well as an expat man, 33, died yesterday, taking the death toll to 737.
Of the new cases, 549 were expat workers, 1,061 contacts of local cases and nine travel-related.
An additional 1,298 people recovered, taking the total recoveries to 182,535.
Of the 15,821 active cases, 290 are receiving treatment and 160 in critical condition.
Bahrain has so far registered a total of 199,093 cases.
The kingdom has conducted 4,336,159 virus tests.
