Bahrain yesterday recorded 1,884 new cases of Covid-19, highest daily total, alongside 1,324 recoveries and nine fatalities.
Five Bahrainis - three women, 91, 45 and 47 - two men, 68, and 73, as well as four expatriate men, 33, 39, 40, and 86, died yesterday, taking the death toll to 746.
Of the new cases, 597 were expat workers, 1,268 contacts of local cases and 19 travel-related.
An additional 1,324 people recovered, taking the total recoveries to 183,859.
Of the 16,372 active cases, 327 are receiving treatment and 183 in critical condition.
Bahrain has so far registered a total of 200,977 cases.
The kingdom has conducted 4,353,926 virus tests.
