Controversy has erupted over the US Embassy in Manama’s decision to fly the rainbow flag to celebrate Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersex and other spectrums of gender and sexuality (LGBTQI+) Pride Month.
Its post on social media has sparked outrage for not respecting the feelings of the majority of citizens and it has prompted MPs to request Foreign Ministry officials to ‘address the issue without delay’.
