MORE than 570 packages carrying narcotics were intercepted at the Khalifa Bin Salman Port.
The 576 packages contained BD14,400 worth of the illegal drug Tumbak.
The Interior Ministry revealed that Customs Officers discovered the suspicious packages during screening.
Through a details inspection the 720kgs of narcotics were discovered concealed inside electrical balls.
