
Members of the public have been cautioned against using unlicensed healthcare and fitness practitioners, with experts suggesting that they could do more harm than good.
The move follows the arrest of a female resident in Bahrain last week for violating rules. She has been charged for practising a profession without a licence at an unauthorised place and for flouting Covid-19 regulations.
The Industry, Commerce and Tourism Ministry said it had registered several similar cases and warned practitioners to ensure they secure necessary licences, proof of competence and approvals from the authorities before selling their services.
