Bahrain has just nabbed its first medal at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics in the women's 10,000-metre race event.
Kalkidan Gezahegne, 30, has won the silver medal, behind Sifan Hassan of the Netherlands and ahead of Letesenbet Gidey fromn Ethiopia.
Gezahegne's time of 29 minutes 56.18 seconds was less than a second behind Hassan and more than five seconds ahead of Gidey, who set the world record in June.
