The curse of the BRAVE CF Lightweight world title continues. No man in the history of the MMA promotion has been able to defend the 70kg belt and it wasn’t different with Amin Ayoub. But it’d be unfair to put it all to a curse, because Egypt’s Ahmed Amir looked absolutely fantastic across the cage.
The Egyptian-Bahraini fighter, who represents KHK MMA Team, put on a true wrestling clinic, with absolute control of levels and scored takedowns in every single round of the bout.
With his triumph, Amir became the first fighter from Egypt to become a world champion in combat sports history.
The main event of BRAVE CF 54 was held in Konin, Poland, and promoted in association with Galana Exclusive Championship.
The title fight started very busy, with Ahmed Amir managing to secure an early takedown. But Amin Ayoub is known for his slick grappling skills, even when working from the bottom, and he remained very active in his guard. When Ayoub tried to lock in an omoplata, the two got back to standing up. Ayoub connected a couple of good strikes but right before the end of the round he got taken down by Amir once again.
