
Restaurant owner and chef Abdul Azeez has every reason for being wheely-excited … he’s passed his driving test finally at the age of 65.
After a dismal experience with a driving instructor decades ago, he settled for a life on buses and in taxis until he was urged by his family to have another go.
“You’re never too old to learn new tricks!” said Mr Azeez, from Arad, an Indian expatriate who first came to the kingdom at the age of 16.
“I remember going for one driving lesson when I was young but I gave up. I wasn’t able to cope and the instructor gave up on me instantly and told me that I couldn’t do it.
