Bahrain will set aside BD130 million every year to procure a life-saving drug that will be offered free of cost to sickle cell disease (SCD) patients in the country.
Crizanlizumab – a revolutionary sickle cell treatment protocol – is being provided by the Health Ministry following directives from His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
