AWA building the bridges AMERICAN WOMEN’S ASSOCIATION OF BAHRAIN Meet Kim Bakaev-Vice President of AWA

let's meet Kim Bakaev ,Vice President of AWA & learn about her in her own words,Although I have been in Bahrain for a relatively short time compared to the other board members, I can't seem to remember what my life was like before AWA.  There was a time not long ago when I wondered what I would do to fill my time in Bahrain while my husband worked and my son was at school.  Now, I can't imagine one day ever leaving this wonderful country and these amazing people!  My past life in the US had been filled with work as a university professor, podcaster, speaker, mentor, small group facilitator, and all of the other things being a wife and mom of three kids.  How would I ever find the same fulfilment in my new home of Bahrain?  An introduction to AWA president Amy Stroup through a mutual friend, which I see as no coincidence but orchestrated by God, led me to say YES to AWA and becoming part of the most amazing board.  The women that I have met at AWA and serve with on the board have changed my life!  I have fallen deeply in love with this beautiful country of Bahrain, and AWA is the reason.  I have found purpose, connection and sweet friendship in a short time thanks to this wonderful organization.
