Another calendar year draws to a close. Although it is easy to be
discouraged or pessimistic in the face of polarization and ugliness in society, the recurrent threat of forms of COVID, ignorance or resistance regarding vaccination, or the threats to our environment, don’t give up hope. Let’s be grateful for the good times we have had and the enjoyment that we shared with friends. Close friends and companions have made the past year’s experiences more memorable – whether it is camping, paddling, hunting, fishing or hiking, or other outdoor sports. Enjoy them and share them with others, and things will be better.
