A much-loved and well-respected Indian expatriate who helped make sure the kingdom’s favourite English-language daily newspaper, the GDN, reached homes in time for a morning coffee break before work, has packed up his bags and will be leaving Bahrain. Al Hilal Group executive Samuel Jacob, 64, who recently retired as general manager at Hilal Direct Services, is heading to Australia along with his wife, Beatrice Jayaseeli, 63, who worked for the Pakistan Urdu School for 20 years.
