The American Women’s Association (AWA) Art and Photography Exhibition titled VISIONS 2022 opens on 2nd February.
The exhibition was inaugurated by the US Embassy Charge d’ affairs Ms. Maggie Nardi, who has always been very supportive of AWA’s numerous initiatives. The opening ceremony was held in the presence of AWA’s President. Ms. Amy Strop and Art Chairperson. Ms. Nadia Al Jar, along with the AWA Executive Board & participating artists & photographers.
The event was well attended guests across Bahrain .Ms. Maggi Nardi congratulated the artists and AWA on successfully organizing the exhibition year after year and unveiled the vibrant catalog of VISIONS 2022. AWA’s President, Ms. Amy Stroup, thanked the organizers, sponsors and guests for their generous contributions and gracious presence.
VISIONS are AWA’s annual fundraiser that also serves as a platform for its immensely talented members to showcase their creativity and skills as painters and photographers. A part of the proceeds is reserved for AWA’s community service fund as the organization supports more than 30 local charities annually. The event was conceived in 2009 by a few art enthusiasts and ever since, the exhibition has taken place every year in various art centers, hotels and in the Bahrain Financial Harbour too. This year, 21 professional and amateur artists are displaying their artwork at the Al Aali Mall. The exhibition timings are 10am to 10pm and it will continue till 7th February 2022.
