On World Environment Day, 5th of June with the theme "Only One Earth" where more that 150 countries participate to raise awareness , we, Ms Safa Almuglaq & Dr Anamica Bhattacharya tried our bit to organise and continue activities that reciprocates with this year's campaign slogan "Living sustainbly in sink of the Nature" every month.
We celebrated the evening, with Eminent artists, guests, creatives, philanthropist, Earth buddies, and the audience who spotted us and stopped to join our gathering at Seef Mall, near Gate 1.
Audience witnessed a collaborative performance of live art & music by eminent artists Abbas Almosawi and Na Der in presence of our Guest Ms Rekha Utham & the Art curator & Architect Mr Mahdi T Al Jallawi.
A dance & drawing sessions by little creatives, an interesting mime act by children of New Horizon School, jig by save soil volunteers, along with free plant distribution contributed by members of Exchange Plants for free, Bahrain-A family of 65K plant lovers.
The event was sponsered by Colour of the East, supported by save soil volunteers and hosted by Seef Mall, which provided a platform for people especially children to display their creative skills including lot of fun with music and dance and a message " We have only one Earth" ! So Let's think what we can do? To save the Planet for me and you!
On 5th June, we inaugurated the environmental awareness program followed by an art display under the 11th Annual Art Exhibition, under the patronage of H E Engineer Essam Bin Abdulla Khalaf, the current Minister of Works, Municipalities and Urban planning, 'Future Rise from Nature' from 10 th June to 15th June.
Later on we had an interesting virtual session on Indoor Plant Care by the famous Bahrain Plant Guy in insta, Mr Sultan a passionate plant lover on 18 th June and on 22nd June, we had a session on Healthy baking in an eco- friendly way by Chef Ekta Sethi & a talk on Minimalism by Environment advocate Kai Methig on 28th June, 2022.
We have designed some creative events to follow up in the upcoming months to continue our initiatives. To share any innovative Eco- friendly tips or idea, or to be a part of it, you are most welcome.
