Representatives from The Bahrain Institute for Pearls and Gemstones (Danat) attended the five-day Saudi Jewellery Show, held in the Saudi capital Riyad under the slogan “Bejeweled; the jewelled heart.”

Danat attended the event alongside more than 100 international jewellery brands, representing a multitude of countries from around the world. Also present were VIPs, dignitaries, jewellery and gemstone experts as well as industry specialists.  

During its participation, Danat introduced visitors to the wide spectrum of services it provides; including its gemstone and diamond examination service which utilises the latest devices and technology from Danat’s laboratory – the first of its kind in the world. Visitors to the exhibition were able to ratify their purchases through obtaining a certificate of inspection and classification. The certificates are available for customers to download instantaneously onto their smart phones and devices.

Mrs Noora Jamsheer, CEO of the Danat Institute, said; “Through our participation, we are making inroads into the Saudi market – one of the largest jewellery and gemstone markets in the Middle East. We were very pleased to introduce the Danat Laboratory’s advanced services, which will pique the interest of more regional and international customers than ever before. Additionally, we have been talking about the steps taken by Bahrain to revive the natural pearl sector, and Danat's role in that process.”

In her statement, Mrs Jamsheer commended the Saudi Jewelry show as a unique platform that brings luxury jewellery companies, goldsmiths, eminent jewellery dealers, fine brands and jewellery enthusiasts together under one roof. She noted that the show gives them the opportunity to communicate and meet face to face, facilitating the exchange of knowledge and experiences.  She referenced the fact that the workshops and panel discussions were a constant theme of the trade show, educating jewellery lovers and designers. Furthermore, a number of experimental and cultural events were put on to enrich the experience of the attendees.
