St Chris scoops top mental health and wellbeing award
We are delighted to have recently been awarded silver in the School Mental Health Awards from the Carnegie Centre of Excellence for Mental Health, part of Leeds Beckett University. The award was given based on our outstanding approach to addressing the mental health and wellbeing of the school community.
In its report on the school's provision for mental health and wellbeing, the Carnegie Centre praised St Christopher's for 'embedding mental health and wellbeing into the culture of the school and at the heart of the curriculum'.
Assistant Head of Senior School, Jamie O'Dowd, who leads student wellbeing alongside Tim Mannings in the Junior School, said the award was a 'wonderful recognition for all the improvements and changes that have been made to the school's approach to all aspects of mental health and wellbeing over the last few years - but we will continue to strive for greater excellence above and beyond this fantastic award in the years ahead.'
