W Maldives, the luxury playground

W Maldives, the luxury playground located on the heart-shaped Fesdu Island surrounded by one of the best house reefs in the country, is thrilled to announce the latest collaboration with Hong Kong based resort wear brand Mazu. Following the first resort wear collaboration in 2021, the five-star resort is launching another sustainable collection of rash guard for underwater enthusiasts that embody the beauty and essence of the archipelago.

Mazu’s commitment to sustainability aligns perfectly with W Maldives’ stance and dedication to environmental conservation. In 2021, Mazu designed two exclusive prints for W Maldives’ sustainable shorts collection, which were made out of 12 salvaged plastic bottles each. This year, Mazu has produced an exclusive rash guard for men and women who would like to explore one of the best house reefs in the Maldives in style and comfort.

The exclusive print features a vibrant color palette inspired by the Maldives’ stunning natural beauty. The rashs guards are made from recycled nylon from salvaged plastic bottles and are designed to protect the skin from harmful UV rays while swimming, snorkeling, and surfing in the ocean. Mazu’s high-quality fabrics and attention to detail make this collection not only functional but also stylish and comfortable.

“We are excited to leverage our partnership with Mazu and offer our guests sustainable resort wear options that align with our passion points—Stance and Scene—and our commitment to create a greener experience at our resort,” said Idu Ribeiro, General Manager of W Maldives. “This collaboration is amongst many of our efforts to conserve our surrounding environment. From our strict recycling waste management to our refillable amenities in our guest rooms to reduce the usage of plastics. The exclusive print for the rash guards is our bold statement on the beauty of the Maldives and our dedication to preserving it for generations to come.”

The exclusive W Maldives x Mazu rash guards are now available for purchase exclusively at W Maldives resort. Travelers who are conscious about their impact on the environment can now enjoy the beauty of the Maldives while supporting sustainable fashion.
