Embrace your sacred path forward and you shall be blessed with blissful experiences. I am reminded of a story still very relevant even in current age and time.
Once a sparrow went in search of a home to lay her eggs and take shelter before the harsh season arrives. In her pursuit to find a home she sighted two beautiful trees and humbly asked one of them if she could take a shelter on their branches to protect herself.
The tree refused to give her shelter saying, “I do not want your home to spoil my beautiful appearance … go away and look for any other place”. The saddened bird understood that she asked for help to an arrogant tree whose heart is filled with pride and ego.
Without losing her hope, she hesitantly approached the other one for help. Unlike the earlier, this tree was kind hearted and empathetic enough to understand the pitiful condition of the bird was in and embraced her with joy. The happy bird realized that she will be having her home in a place full of hope, love, serenity and benevolence. She merrily made her home and lay her eggs with a sense of protection around her.
It was time for one season to bid adieu and welcome the other. As the winter season took over and started spreading the coldness, the woodcutters set out in search of wood. Like the bird, the group of woodcutters too sighted these trees standing tall and huge motivating them to cut it for their needs. However, when they looked up at the tree they found this bird staying in her nest built on its branches. They did not want to harm the innocent bird.
After walking few steps ahead their sight fell on the other tall & huge tree. They started to speak among themselves saying, “This huge tree’s wood would be sufficient for our families to go through the entire winter season”.
When the proud & egoistic tree overheard the woodcutter’s conversation, it realized that, “I should have helped the bird in need rather feed myself with pride and false ego.”
Therefore, the fate of the unkind tree teaches us to not feed ourselves with false pride but always fill ourselves with positive vibes. Moreover, as we look back at the bird’s life, it shows that all the things that happens around us, happens for a purpose of good. The different perception perceived by those two trees brought them differing experiences.
Let us all feed ourselves with goodness, kindness and sense of responsibility towards humanity. If we perceive our situation in a positive light, it will make a world of difference.
The best empirical approach at life, ‘All things happens for good.’
