Honouring the Roots; Gulf Madhyamam Begins Silver Jubilee Celebrations with Heartfelt Tribute Manama: The silver jubilee celebrations of 'Gulf Madhyamam', the first Indian international newspaper originating from the Pearl Islands of the Persian Gulf, have been inaugurated with immense honour. This landmark anniversary marks twenty-five years since the newspaper's inception at Al Ayam Press in Bahrain. The initial print run was overseen by the then-press chairman, Nabeel bin Yaqub Al Hamar, who played a crucial role in its founding. Today, serving as King Hamad's Media Adviser, he proudly unveiled the silver jubilee logo of Gulf Madhyamam, commemorating a significant chapter in the publication's history. Key figures from Gulf Madhyamam, including Operations Director Salim Ambalan, Global Head of Business Operations Muhammad Rafiq, Executive Committee Chairman Jamal Iringal, Regional Manager Jalil Abdullah and Marketing Manager Saqib Valiapeethikakal were present at the unveiling ceremony. The Gulf Madhyamam's remarkable journey has been made possible through the generous support and benevolence of His Majesty Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of Bahrain. This support reflects the rulers' profound care and affection for the expatriate community. Throughout its significant phases of growth, the newspaper has consistently received constant support from both King Hamad and the Crown Prince and Prime Minister Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa. As the Gulf Madhyamam embarks on its silver jubilee celebrations, it begins with a heartfelt expression of gratitude for this royal benevolence. Gulf Madhyamam commenced its journey in India in 1987 and expanded its reach beyond borders with its inaugural edition in Bahrain in 1999. At that time, Gulf Madhyamam served as the primary source of news and local affairs for the Indian expatriate community in Bahrain. Subsequently, it expanded its operations to cover all GCC countries. Today, Gulf Madhyamam has become the lingua franca of the expatriate community as the sole Indian daily published across all GCC nations. Manama 01/04/2024 Palakkad Arts and Cultural Theater (PAACT) Ladies wing visited and distributed gifts to the students at the Integrated Intervention Center (Special School), Um Al Hassam as part of their Community Outreachment Services. Other associations appreciate only school toppers, but PAACT is always in its unique way, appreciates all the students of its members in & out of Bahrain. The Vishwakala Indo-Bahrain Entertainment Festival, organized by the Bahrain Vishwakala Cultural Center on the occasion of its 20th anniversary, will take place tomorrow. Indian Ambassador to Bahrain HE Vinod K Jacob will be the chief guest at the event which will start tomorrow at 6 pm at the Gulf Air Club. Officials informed in the press conference that prominent people from the social and cultural sector including the ministers and parliament members of Bahrain will also participate in the program. A dance performance by troubled film star and dancer Lakshmi Gopalaswamy, a song mela prepared by Malayalam film playback singers Kannur Sheriff, Sumi Aravind and young singer Athiya Sheeju, folk song artist Suresh Pallikkara, Along with performances by Srilaya Robin and Kathak dancer Khalil A Swar, Vibe Fest is also set to host an art festival by artists from various states of India and native Bahraini artists. PAACT BAHRAIN STUDY TOUR WITH NEW EXPERIENCE Manama: The study tour conducted by Palakkad Arts and Cultural Theater (PAACT) has come to an end. The aim of the trip was to enhance the children's understanding of the rich history and customs of the Kingdom of Bahrain, and it was well achieved. On Friday morning, at 9.15 a.m. from Anduls Garden, the journey was flagged off by BMC Chairman Francis Kaitharath. The Pact team visited the beautiful fort at Karbabad and the adjacent farm, followed by the pottery manufacturing centers at A'ali, and Rifa Fort. They also visited the forest of Karzakhan called Sumati Valav by the Malayalees, the Hanging Garden, the Tree of Life, the First Oil Well, and the Oil Museum. The group then ended their trip by visiting the Tree of Life and Avali Cathedral. The coordinators were tasked with explaining to the group in detail the history of each place. Food and competitions of all types enhanced the atmosphere of the trip. The convenors of the trip were Salman Faris, Sajitha Sathish, coordinator Subhash Menon, Deepak Vijayan, Usha Suresh, and Moorthy Noorani Padmanabhan. Chief Coordinator Jyoti Menon said more extensive study trips would be organized under the leadership of Pact in the coming years. President Ashok Kumar, General Secretary Satish, and Treasurer Ramdas Nair thanked the tour members.

Palakkad Arts and Cultural Theater (PACT) held its Annual General Meeting (AGM) last Friday at Century Hotel in Adlia. Presidents Mr. Ashok Kumar and Mrs. Sajitha Satish promised the audience that they would plan all sorts of activities to keep Pact at the forefront of associations in Bahrain, which was attended by around 100 members. She emphasized that this year too there will be programs giving equal importance to art programs and charity activities. General Secretary Mr. Satish Kumar and Secretary of Women's Division Ms. Usha Suresh presented the last year's activity report which was accepted by the audience with huge applause. Chief Coordinator Mr. Jyoti Kumar Menon expressed his gratitude, commitment and love to the members and reminded them that the same cooperation should be there for the future activities. Then, the first flyer of the upcoming dance drama "Maika" was released by Pact's director Shyam Ramachandran and script writer Ms. Preethi Sreekumar in the presence of the Pact Executive Committee.

The Vishwakala Indo-Bahrain Entertainment Festival, organized by the Bahrain Vishwakala Cultural Center on the occasion of its 20th anniversary, will take place tomorrow. Indian Ambassador to Bahrain HE Vinod K Jacob will be the chief guest at the event which will start tomorrow at 6 pm at the Gulf Air Club. Officials informed in the press conference that prominent people from the social and cultural sector including the ministers and parliament members of Bahrain will also participate in the program. A dance performance by troubled film star and dancer Lakshmi Gopalaswamy, a song mela prepared by Malayalam film playback singers Kannur Sheriff, Sumi Aravind and young singer Athiya Sheeju, folk song artist Suresh Pallikkara, Along with performances by Srilaya Robin and Kathak dancer Khalil A Swar, Vibe Fest is also set to host an art festival by artists from various states of India and native Bahraini artists. Bahrain is a media city Event Manager of the event. President Suresh CS, General Secretary Trivikraman Patiyath, Organizing Committee Chairman Dr PV Cherian said that everyone is invited to this event and entry is free. Vishwakala Cultural Center met the Indian Ambassador Mr. Vinod Jacob at the embassy as part of Vibe Fest 2024, an Indo-Bahrain culture program celebrating its 20th anniversary. Palakkad Arts and Cultural Theater (PACT) held its Annual General Meeting (AGM) last Friday at Century Hotel in Adlia. Presidents Mr. Ashok Kumar and Mrs. Sajitha Satish promised the audience that they would plan all sorts of activities to keep Pact at the forefront of associations in Bahrain, which was attended by around 100 members. She emphasized that this year too there will be programs giving equal importance to art programs and charity activities. General Secretary Mr. Satish Kumar and Secretary of Women's Division Ms. Usha Suresh presented the last year's activity report which was accepted by the audience with huge applause. Chief Coordinator Mr. Jyoti Kumar Menon expressed his gratitude, commitment and love to the members and reminded them that the same cooperation should be there for the future activities. Then, the first flyer of the upcoming dance drama "Maika" was released by Pact's director Shyam Ramachandran and script writer Ms. Preethi Sreekumar in the presence of the Pact Executive Committee.
