Hey, friends! I hope you're having a great day. I wanted to share some thoughts with you about something that's been on my mind lately. It's about heaven and earth.
When you look at the world today, do you think, "Wow, this is just like Heaven—everything perfect"? No, right? Me neither. I see a lot of pain, suffering, injustice, violence, and evil in the world. I see people hurting each other, hurting themselves, and hurting the planet. I see brokenness and despair everywhere.
But then I think about heaven. Heaven is a place where there is no sin, no death, no sorrow, no tears, no pain, no disease, no hunger, no thirst, no war, no hate, no fear. There is only love, joy, peace, harmony, beauty, glory, worship, and praise. There is only God and his people living in his presence forever.
Doesn't that sound amazing? Don't you long for that kind of life? I know I do. But here's the thing, we don't have to wait until we die to experience heaven. God has said heaven is inside our hearts which means we can experience joy and peace right here on earth if we follow His teachings. We can love our neighbour as ourselves. We can forgive others as we have been forgiven.
Can you imagine what the world would look like if everyone did that? It would look more like heaven than earth.
So, I challenge you today to ask yourself: Can my life look more like heaven? And if the answer is yes (and I'm sure it is), then pray to God to help you make it happen and then watch what he does. Watch how he changes you and the world around you. Watch how he brings heaven to earth through you.
