The total solar eclipse slated for April 8, 2024

The celestial phenomenon, where the moon completely obscures the sun, casting a shadow on Earth, will move across Mexico, the United States, and Canada.

The eclipse is set to commence over the South Pacific Ocean, with the first point of contact on continental North America being Mexico’s Pacific coast at approximately 8:37 a.m. Bahrain time.

From there, the shadow will sweep across several US states, including Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Missouri, Illinois, Kentucky, Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine, with minor visibility in parts of Tennessee and Michigan.

The phenomenon will then cross into Canada, covering regions such as Southern Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, and Cape Breton, before making its exit over the Atlantic coast of Newfoundland at around 3:15 p.m.
