HISMUN II '23-24: A Resounding Success in Cultural Diplomacy


The second edition of the Hawar International Model United Nations (HISMUN II) conference, held on the 3rd and 4th of May, concluded on a high note, marking a milestone in cultural diplomacy and global collaboration. Themed "Cultural Preservation and Heritage - Safeguarding our past, celebrating our future," HISMUN II '23-24 brought together young minds from across the island’s diverse schools and curriculums to engage in constructive dialogue and find innovative solutions to pressing global issues.
The conference led by Secretary General (SG), Saud Juma, witnessed participation from over 200 students representing over 50 countries across 9 councils. Throughout the event, participants demonstrated exemplary leadership, critical thinking, and diplomatic skills as they tackled a wide range of topics related to cultural preservation, environmental sustainability, and social development.
Reflecting on the success of the conference, H.I.S. expressed gratitude to all
participants, volunteers, and sponsors for their invaluable contributions."We are proud of the meaningful dialogue and tangible outcomes achieved during the conference,” said Mr. Bilal, School Director.
