Bahrain has significantly expanded its green cover over the last three years with Muharraq registering the biggest increase of 116 per cent, it has emerged.
Capital, Northern and Southern governorates have boosted greenery by 53pc, 37pc and 21pc respectively.
The details were revealed by the National Space Science Agency (NSSA) marking World Environment Day.
